Their goal and mission statement is to use “film and media content to expose injustices created by gender stereotypes and to shift people’s consciousness towards change”, and I think they’re doing a damn fine job.

Yes, that Ferrell – best known for raunchy, sexist comedies like “Anchorman” and “Old School” – has launched a female-focused production company with business partners Chris Henchy and Adam McCay and longtime collaborator producer-friend Jessica Elbaum (associate producer of “Step Brothers” and executive producer of “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues”). The production company – Gloria Sanchez Productions (a division of Ferrell’s existing company Gary Sanchez Production) – intends to develop TV and film projects about and led by women. What. The. Hell, amiright?! I mean, will there still be mud wrestling and blatant objectification, or will that conclude?
